FF Friday, Oct. 19th

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Q: When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

A: Hmmm...I'm always reading different kinds of genres. I guess the unusual genre that I read would have to be Scifi. I'm not a huge fan of aliens and advance technology stories but I have read a few that have been good. For example, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, some of H.P. Lovecraft's tales, and The Cat Star Chronicles (this series is also categorized as romance/erotica).

What's your unsual genre?

  1. I love my paranormal genre! I don't tend to stray from it! Even my example of fantasy reads still have magic going on and that's paranormal in a very loose thread kind of way. I like a few YA dystopians too, but not many.

  2. I'm all about fantasy, historical, and crime stuff. I really like scifi, actually, but for some reason I don't read much of it! New follower via GFC. My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! :D

  3. Thanks for stopping by - happy to return the follow. It's funny, but with all the fantasy and horror I read, it's almost stepping outside my comfort genres to pick up something that's hard sci-fi.

  4. I've only read a few alien Sci-Fi books and they tend to be hit or miss for me. I much prefer the Dystopia sub-genre. :)

  6. I love me some sci-fi every so often but I can understand those who don't, definitely a specific taste. :)

  7. Mhm, I'm actually tinkering with Sci-Fi ever since I read Partials by Dan Wells. I might try it...or not :) Anyway, thanks for your book recommendation - I can see myself reading those :D

  10. Now that you mention it I don't think I read all that much sci-fi either unless you count dystopian but personally I see that as a whole seperate genre now.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, followed you back :)

  11. I like sci-fi--and not necessarily just aliens lol I guess adult fiction would be where I got the most out of my usual genre...
