Teaser Tuesdays #115

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Jenn at Books and a Beat.

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

I read two novellas while I was at jury duty, so here are my mini reviews for them:

In The Key by Rachel Hawkins, a girl uses her psychic abilities to look where she has been forbidden to look. LA Times Festival of Books 2016

It was that time again. It was time for the Festival of Books presented by LA Times, held at USC! And this year, I decided to attend both days!! It was so much fun!

On a rainy Saturday, my baby sister and I went to the festival early to try to get a glimpse of Stan Lee knowing that there will be a huge crowd. And yes...there were massive amounts of people! We waited in line to get a copy of Stan Lee's latest memoir written as a comic book. While we waited in line, we were able to watch his interview. I got to say...he is hilarious!

Audiobook: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews

Okay...I actually finished listening to this a couple of weeks ago. I am now barely getting to the review...lol

Cover Image

Read by Thomas Mann, R.J. Cyler, Keith Szarabajka, Hillary Huber, Kirby Heyborne, Abigail Revasch, Adenrele Ojo

Duration:  6.25 hrs.

Up until senior year, Greg has maintained total social invisibility. He only has one friend, Earl, and together they spend their time-when not playing video games and avoiding Earl's terrifying brothers- making movies, their own versions of Coppola and Herzog cult classics. Greg would be the first one to tell you his movies are f*@$ing terrible, but he and Earl don't make them for other people. Until Rachel.

Rachel has leukemia, and Greg's mom gets the genius idea that Greg should befriend her. Against his better judgment and despite his extreme awkwardness, he does. When Rachel decides to stop treatment, Greg and Earl must abandon invisibility and make a stand. It's a hilarious, outrageous, and truthful look at death and high school by a prodigiously talented debut author.

My April TBR List: Vote

MyTBRList

My To-Be Read List is hosted by Michelle @ Because Reading. Each month you pick three books on your TBR list and people vote on the one you should read that month. What a great way to get me to read more from my pile, right?

Okay...I skipped March. Yup. I had to. There was too much on my plate for me to enjoy any reading. Besides, I had two previous TBR monthly books to finish. And guess what? I was able to finish them during Spring Break!!! Woop woop!!!

Erotica: Nicholas by Elizabeth Amber (18+)

Warning! The following is intended for 18+
audiences! Please do not continue if you are
 under the required age.

This is a steamy novel with explicit details. The cover alone can be offensive to some.

You have been warned! ;)

Thank you!
