Little Free Library Adventures #10

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I decided to take a trip to Northern California for our one year wedding anniversary. During our trip, we encountered a few Little Free Libraries (LFL). Here are some from the various places we were at:

San Gregorio(ish)

We were surprised to find this cute little gem at a pie farm that we stopped at. Yup, a pie farm. We were driving along the coast and kept seeing all of these yummy fruit stands near farms. Of course we stopped at the one that advertised pies. 😁

Santa Cruz

As we were trying to find the Santa Cruz Mission, we saw this LFL. My husband's words were, "Woah! Look at all those books!" There were many interesting titles and lots of books. Unfortunately, we did not have any books to trade. I know, you don't have to swap books but we have a made it a rule with us to only swap in order to control the amount of books we have at home.

Eureka

We were staying in Arcata but there weren't any LFL around. So we hopped on the LFL website map and it sent us to Eureka. This is the first one we encountered there.

This is the second LFL in Eureka. We almost gave up on it because we could not find it. I had to read the website's description carefully to understand that this was behind the house in an alley. We highly enjoyed the cuteness of this one.

Redding

This cute LFL was down the street from our AirBnB.

Other than Eureka, we were not really looking for LFLs so we were very psyched every time we did encounter one. I love these bookish adventures!

  1. Oh fun times!! I love finding planned and random Little Free Libraries!!

Lol, a couple of years ago, my hubby and I spent time in Santa Cruz for his 50th birthday and we kept finding random LFLs during our visit.

Wow, you made it way up north to Eureka and Arcata! We want to visit both cities. I love staying in AirBnBs too... We've only stayed in four of them so far.

    1. It was so much fun! We went to Lassen Volcanic National Park and to Redwoods. We love hiking and decided to go to these places since 1) were in our bucket list and 2) hardly any people. We tend to stay in AirBnBs since it's easier to get a place with a kitchen. We love to cook our own meals.
