Book Blogger Hop: April 19th - 25th

Welcome to the new Book Blogger Hop!

Wow! I thought that this hop was no longer happening but Billy over at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer has resurrected it and is now hosting it.

Every week participants answer a question and then visit other blogs participating. The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers the chance to meet new bloggers, get to know one another better, and get new followers. This week's question is:

“What was the last book you read that made you cry?”

A: Hmmm...good question. Let's see, it would have to be the audiobook, The Dead and the Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer. This is the second book in the Last Survivors series and finding out the fate of one of the characters towards the end shocked me and caused me to start sobbing. I was not as emotionally invested in this book like I was with the first one, Life as We Knew It, but it still choke me up with such great sadness.

  1. Hey, Vonnie!

Gracias por tu visita y comentario para este hop! I should come over more often, and I promise to do so from now on!

I've seen the first book in this series, and have been meaning to pick it up. Man, WHY does life have to make it so darn HARD to find the time to read? I have TWO jobs!!! ARRRGGGHHH!!!

Anyway... not that I want to cry when I'm reading a book, but I do indeed want to get to this series. And you know, maybe the fact that you listened to an audiobook made the story more vivid to you, and thus, you reacted like that. But I do think it's great to be a sensitive soul. We might suffer more, but we also enjoy the world more!

    Thanks for sharing!! :)

    1. I know what you mean. Life is really getting in the way right now for me that I haven't have time to update my blog as much as I would like to nor have I been able to read as much.

Yeah, the performances for the Last Survivor audiobooks were awesome. The readers were able to convey the emotions very well which had me captivated from the beginning to the end of the books. I'm not sure if I would have cried as much if I read the books myself instead of listening to them but I'm still glad that I had the opportunity to "read" them.
