It's Banned Books Week!!!

Yup, that's right. It's Banned Books Week!
That means that we defend the right to read whatever we want!

Banned Books Week 2016

Though my free time to read is very limited at the moment due to being back in school, I do plan to listen to at least one audio in honor of this week.

Which book to listen to? Hmmm...
These ones are available on Overdrive:

Which one should I listen to?
We'll see which one can hold my interest. :)

  1. Al Capone Does My Shirts sounds like a fun title!! I hope you had fun listening to an audiobook this week for Banned Books Week.

I totally did not finish The Catcher In The Rye... I read this novel in high school and liked it, but I found the leading character Holden Caulfield soooo immature, negative and annoying. I just couldn't get past the 1st 25% of the novel this go around and gave up on reading it.

    1. Yeah...Al Capone Does My Shirts is a fun title. It's the reason why I decided to listen to this book instead. Though I didn't make it for the Banned Books Week (I am only a third into listening to the audio), I am highly enjoying and know that I will slowly finish it.

Now, when it comes to Catcher in the Rye, I complete understand. Holden is a very annoying character. I remember that he got on my nerves when we had to read it back in high school. But because I was a teenager, I found myself liking the book a little bit. However, if I try to read it today, I have a feeling that I would hate it. So don't feel bad about abandoning it. You did a favor to yourself. ;)
