Teaser Tuesdays #86

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading.

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

The party was an altogether transformative experience, for it led me to the belief that lesbians were but magical confections that brought joy to all the land. They were regal, special, and festive. They were like beautiful unicorns, those lesbians, for you had to search to find them."

The Harm in Asking: My Clumsy Encounters with the Human Race by Sara Barron

I started reading this book back in April but had to stop in order to catch up with reviews. It's pretty funny, especially this chapter on how the author explains her first encounters with lesbians when she was a young girl.

If you're not okay with this topic or are simply easily offended, then I don't recommend this book. The author does not censor her honesty, which makes it hilarious.
