Today's "Cinderella" is Stephanie Ricker.  Welcome to Vonnie's Reading Corner, Stephanie!

If you were a princess in another planet, which planet would it be and why?

Hi, Vonnie!  Thanks for your question.  I’m notorious amongst family and friends for my love of snow and cold weather (and my hatred of all temperatures above 80 degrees Fahrenheit).  I would be a princess on a snow planet like Anser, the homeworld of my character Elsa in A Cinder’s Tale.  I would love a whole world of skiing, snowmen, sleighs, and snowshoes.  For a New Year’s party that I attended last December, the guests were supposed to dress as their favorite day of the year.  I went as the first day of winter, even though December 21st in North Carolina (which is where I live) was quite warm.  I imagine that the princess of a snow planet might look something like this.

I had fun being a snow queen for a day!

Me: I love the creativity you have there being the snow queen!

About “A Cinder’s Tale” by Stephanie Ricker

It’s a dangerous life, yet Elsa wouldn’t trade this opportunity to work at Tremaine Station, mining cendrillon from the seething surface of planet Aschen. Nevertheless, when a famous deep space explorer and his handsome son dock their starcraft at the space station, Elsa finds herself dreaming of far galaxies beyond Aschen's blistering heat. There is no time for dreaming, however, when danger threatens the space station, and Elsa and her fellow miners are tested to the limits of their courage.

  2. Great post on Stephanie and her story, Vonnie! And her story sounds fabulous, by the way!

I love the cold myself, but have to live here in Miami, where temperatures sometimes go into the 90's....lol. On the other hand, I don't know if I could take minus 0 temps! But I think a nice medium would be good -- like the 30s and 40s, all year round!

I really can't wait to get this awesome collection of stories, in print form, of course!! : )

    1. I love the cold too but I don't think I'll be able to live in a winter environment. I love my California weather even if it gets too hot sometimes.
