Here's what the book is about:

Sometimes love only comes once in a lifetime. For some lucky people, it is possible to love again.

Melody and Jack had shared an unforgettable love story that abruptly came to an end. Melody, left picking up the pieces, finds herself alone years later, with no hope or desire to date again. With the holiday season approaching, Melody finds it particularly difficult to get Jack out of her thoughts.

Jack isn’t sure if he’s an angel or a ghost, but his mind is set on one thing only, finding a new love for Melody by Christmas Eve at midnight. Easier said than done, with many obstacles to tackle, Jack underestimates how difficult the task is. With conflicting emotions, Jack takes it upon himself to find a man for a woman he still loves.

With the clock ticking as the holidays approach, this charming story of finding love the second time around will have you laughing and crying, but ultimately, it will have you believing in true love.

My Thoughts:  I cannot begin to imagine how it would feel like to lose your true love. This was what happened to the main character Melody. The synopsis of this book sounded bittersweet. Because the story was set during the holidays, I wanted to learn how this tragic love story had a happy ending. I was not disappointed.

This was a lovely tale of how true love works. It was intriguing to read how Jack's ghost watched over Melody and tried to help her move on with her life. At the same time, Jack struggled to find a new partner for Melody since Melody had not been able to let go of Jack. It was sweet and funny to read how Jack tried to hook Melody up with different men and how she kept rejecting the men. It was also interesting how Jack had to hijack a man's body so he could physically communicate with Melody. The whole time I kept wondering if Jack would succeed in finding Melody's next love or if "Oliver", the man whom Jack took over, was going to end up with her. The story definitely showed what true love can do.

Melody and Jack were wonderful characters and my heart tore for both of them. For one, I completely understood where Melody was at. She was still in love with her deceased husband and was not ready to move on. The thought of loving another man felt like a betrayal to Jack. Then, there was Jack. This man really loved his wife. He wanted to make sure that Melody was safe and happy. He knew that in order to live her life, Melody needed to find a new love. I admired Jack for his loyalty to his wife for it was not easy to see her love another man.

This was a very sweet tale. It was not perfect for there were parts that felt a little slow for me, but it was still a great story. I enjoyed how it stirred up the emotions and how true love was portrayed. Melody and Jack were lovable characters. This was a bittersweet tale. I rate it:
