Happy New Year! 2013 Wrap-Up, 2014 Plans

Boy, has 2013 had gone by with a flash! I am looking forward to our new year!

2012 was a shaky year for me towards the end, so my New Year's resolution for 2013 was to read less (yeah...I know) so I could enjoy life more. I set my reading goal down to 60 books (I read 101 the previous year). I needed to be more social, so I hoped to be able to go out more often and meet new people.

I was not able to party as I was thinking, but I was able to really get into my dance more. I participated in many wonderful dance workshops with master dancers of Egyptian dance. I got to meet many new wonderful people who share the same passion as I do when it comes to dance. Belly dance really took up my attention for 2013.

Even though I became busier with dance and I lowered my reading goals, I ended up reading 94 books *whoops*.

Here are my favorites:

2014 Plans

I don't have a specific number of reads that I am planning for the upcoming year. Life will be getting more complicated towards summer time because they are possible life changes, so I don't want to dedicate myself to a number goal for my reads. I'm going to try to enjoy life day by day, and try to make wise decisions.

I do hope to read more from my TBR pile though. 2013, especially towards the end of the year, was dedicated to books for review and a lot of these were in e-format. I miss reading actual books, and my pile has not gotten smaller. I have signed up to the following challenges to help me concentrate on my TBR pile:

I also signed up for an audio book challenge since I do a lot of driving :)

In the meantime, I thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog and for making book blogging a wonderful hobby! I wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!

And I'm looking forward to reading My Own Mr. Darcy - I have it on my Kindle. :) I'm curious about Replacing Gentry. Cool to see that it made your favorites list!
