Teaser Tuesday #68

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading.

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:
"It had knife-edged teeth and claws. The thing leapt at me before I could react, claws aiming for my throat."

What Once Was One by Marc Johnson, page 30

Started reading this last month but kept putting it down because I was distracted with other books and with dance. I hope this month I'll be able to give the attention it deserves.

"The grave was tilted and covered with moss, the name worn away by the weather. The person underneath had been forgotten and was no longer mourned by the world."

The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti, audiobook

Here's another book that I started listening to last month and stopped. I had only half-an-hour left so I picked up again today and finished it. This one was a surprising tale. I hope to find the time to write a review on it.

  1. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who gets distracted with other commitments. It happens. Hope you mange to get back to the first and it's nice that you finished the second.

  2. Ahhh life gets in the way of reading. I totally understand that. The first tease is a little on the scary side. I mean claws are headed for their throat.

  4. Great teasers! Sometimes you have to stop and go back if you're distracted or it's not holding your attention. :)

  5. Two good teasers. Both books sound like they'd make for fascinating reading. I'm especially curious about The Good Thief.
