It's Friday and it's time for some fun! Friday 56 is hosted by Freda's Voice, First Line Fridays is hosted by Reading is My SuperPower, Book Beginnings by Rose City Reader, and Book Blogger Hop by The Coffee Addicted Writer.
Today's book is Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff:
First Line/Book Beginnings:
"I'm gonna miss the Draft.
"The Hadfield is disintegrating around me. Black arcs of quantum lighting are melting the ship's hull to slag."
"I touch my nose, bring my fingers away smudged with red."
Book Blogger Hop Question:
"Do you have any bookish posters or artwork on your walls?" (submitted by Penelope @ The Reading Devil)
I do not have any bookish posters on my walls but I do own bookish artwork that I received from Owlcrate. However, I have these stored away in a box. Maybe one day I'll put them up and rotate them.
While this is a genre I don't usually read, I love the purple in the cover. I hope you enjoy it!! Happy Friday!ReplyDelete
I'm currently reading The Breakup Project by Carolyn Miller. I'll share from there:
"Somehow, the sight of Breanna Karlsson looking as stunned as Mike felt made the torture of coming here almost worthwhile."
Hope you have an excellent weekend!
I have really been wanting to try this series. That opening is very compelling. I have a feeling I wouldn't want to put Aurora Rising down. I hope you have a great weekend!ReplyDelete
My first line is from Twilight at Moorington Cross by Abigail WilsonReplyDelete
1819 Kent, England
It was entirely possible that I spent more time lying on the floor of Cluett’s Mesmeric Hospital than standing upon it.
Sounds like an interesting read!! Happy weekend!!ReplyDelete
This week, I posted about A Heart Adrift by Laura Frantz: https://daniellegrandinetti.com/2022/01/14/a-heart-adrift/ReplyDelete
