Friday Fun: Jan 21st

It's Friday and it's time for some fun! Friday 56 is hosted by Freda's Voice, First Line Fridays is hosted by Reading is My SuperPower, Book Beginnings by Rose City Reader, and Book Blogger Hop by The Coffee Addicted Writer

Today's book is Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski:

First Line/Book Beginnings

"Verily I say onto you, the era of the sword and axe is nigh, the era of the wolf's blizzard. The Time of the White Chill is nigh, the Time of Madness and the Time of Contempt: Ted Deiread, the Time of End."

Page 56 (guestimation since this was an audiobook):

"If you know where Geralt is, you ought to go and warn him. You owe him that, Yennefer. There was, after all, something between you."

Book Blogger Hop Question:

What is the average number of books you read per month? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

During the school months, I read 1-2 books a month. During my breaks, I read about 15 books a month. Work gets in the way...😒

  1. My hubby would like your book I think! Happy weekend!

  2. My husband has read the short story books and the first two novels in the series. I have only seen the TV show, which I really like. I hope you are enjoying Blood of Elves! Have a great weekend!

  3. Happy Friday!
I’m currently reading Mulberry Hollow by Denise Hunter. I am really enjoying it! I’m just starting chapter 7, so I’ll share from there.
“It was amazing how much could change over a weekend.”
    Truer words! LOL!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with relaxing reading time.

  4. I signed up to read 120 books this year. What was I thinking?

  5. This weekend, I'm reading Their Unbreakable Bond by Deb Kastner. The first line is: It was the Be Back Shortly sign on the door of the gift shop, with an arrow pointing toward the barn, that had sent Stone Keller in this direction.
On my First Line Friday blog post, I featured To Treasure an Heiress by Rosenanna M. White:
    Happy Weekend!

  6. My first line is from Chapter 1 of To Treasure an Heiress by Roseanna White:

11 July. Samson, Isles of Scilly
“Beth Tremayne crept silently through the creaking doorway of the abandoned cottage as the first stokes of dawn painted the sky over the islands.”
